Though I felt I floated indistinctly through this film without a better grounding in Neruda's biography or Chile's history, I admired the creative scene changes that carried smoothly through conversations, the time given to poetic moments (literally and figuratively), and the use of Grieg's evocative and appropriate Norwegian Melody.
