Review of Neon Maniacs (1986) by Låëílã B — 27 Dec 2010
There is a baffling amount of stupid people and stupid situations in this movie (All my friends got murdered...I think I'll stay in a huge house alone and go for a dip, All my friends are dead...I'm gonna go to school, All my friends got ripped apart but I'm gonna go out on a movie date with some random dude and make out along the way.
..i love her one stipulation:"no horror movies", I'm being stalked by monsters so I'm gonna go to a COSTUME party....cue obligatory sex scene...blah blah blah...etc etc ETC...Ok, so monsters killed her friends.
..she seems to deal with it fairly quickly but you know, I've never had monsters kill my friends and almost kill me so maybe I just don't know what it's like. Anyway, she's one of the dumbest, most irritating lead characters I've seen in a horror movie.
..she's got some great company, so she's definitely not alone). Anyway, I enjoyed the movie enough; it's hilarious, the creature effects are cool, the music is great in that 80's synth kind of way.
