Review of Nemesis (1992) by Brian F — 27 Sep 2006
I can't really make a convincing case for why I liked this film, really. Maybe it's the cool, B-movie performances from Thomerson, Shelton, Monaghan, Kennedy and Brion James, maybe it's the fact that the film is not afraid to rip-off other action films to achieve its effects (The Terminator, Hard Boiled, Blade Runner, etc, etc.
) I don't know what it is. Albert Pyun has made some BAD movies but there's something about this one. One of the things that makes it stand out is the fact that there are many more female characters than your usual action film.
That's signifigant, isn't it? For whatever reason, I like this movie very very much.
