Review of Neighbors (2014) by Yash B — 23 Apr 2015
This is pure hysterical blast from start to finish. I laughed out loud on multiple occasions. The movie is stupid at times, but in the best ways. It also has some poignant underlying themes which I respect in a raunchy comedy.
I had so much fun seeing Rogen and Efron battle it out. Rose Byrne finally has a comedy movie where she shows what she's truly capable of. It seems like everyone was having a ball making this movie and that only adds to its boundless energy.
This is the first "big" summer comedy and it lived up to my expectations. I kid you not, everyone in my theater laughed at least once. Thats the comedic genius of the film. If you're looking to have a fantastic time at the movies, check out "Neighbors".
Its an energetic, wild, and wonderfully entertaining movie that doesn't hold back on its content and consistently entertains.
