Review of Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016) by Rob R — 05 Oct 2016
Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016).
Seth Rogen and Zac Efron are back with almost the exact same movie as the original Neighbors. This sounds like it's going to be a negative review, but hold on a minute. The original Neighbors is pretty funny, and so is the sequel.
Even though it's a regurgitated plot, Director Nicholas Stoller is an experienced comedy filmmaker who has had success with his previous films, (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek, and the first Neighbors). If you enjoyed those movies than you will be entertained with Neighbors 2. The plot revolves around three different storylines, Mac (Seth Rogen) and Kelly (Rose Bryne), the same couple that live next to the old Frat house that Teddy Sanders (Zac Efron) used to run. Well guess what, if you haven't guessed, the same house is now becoming a sorority, just as Mac and Kelly are ready to move out. So the story is pretty obvious, but it still brings a lot of laughs like the first film, and it's entertaining enough to enjoy because of its great cast and enthusiastic direction. B-.
