Review of Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016) by Rastaman J — 27 Feb 2017
A terrible sequel to a garbage film, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising delivers more raunch and out-and-out stupidity. Matt and Kelly Radner faceoff with another group of unruly neighbors, this time a sorority, and get into a war of juvenile pranks.
With the sorority angle the film tries to take on issues of sexism and female empowerment, but the sorority girls are such selfish assholes that the politics get lost. And despite the powerhouse cast, Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, Zac Efron, and Chloe Grace Moretz, there aren't any good performances.
Also, the comedy is incredibly vulgar; all sex joke and gross-out humor. Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising is an insipid sequel that tries to do the same thing over again, but can't even get that right.
