Review of Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016) by Jono M — 03 Jun 2016
Comedy sequels are generally pretty bad. In recent times, Zoolander 2 and The Hangover films spring to mind. Thinking that this was probably going to be more of the same, I had low expectations when going to check out Bad Neighbours 2.
Thankfully, this ended up being one of the rare comedy sequels that was alright. It definitely wasn't as good as its predecessor, and there were a few funny parts from the first that were pretty much repeated, but it still had plenty of laugh out loud moments.
I saw it in a packed cinema that was filled with the perfect demographic for a movie like this, and there were people in hysterics from start to finish. Chloe Grace Moretz was a great addition to the cast, and the Seth Rogen/Rose Byrne duo was solid again.
As he did in the first, Zac Efron stole the show, and seeing him and the married couple on the same side this time was a treat.
