Review of Need for Speed (2014) by Tom T — 06 Jan 2016
6.5/10.
This movie isn't as bad as its reviews...which isn't saying a lot because the reviews are putrid. Aaron Paul is cool, the cars are cool, some of the action is cool, but at the end of the day there's really no reason to watch this movie over the other car related action movies with tales of redemption and revenge that are on the market. Even if the Fast and Furious series didn't exist, this movie wouldn't climb any further on my "must watch again" list. Some of the acting got corny, some of the scenes were bland and others just made me say "lol, wut?" Oh, and the ending was oh so predictable and Michael Keaton's little monologue was just weird. In summary, it's better than the reviews, but still extremely average.
