Review of Need for Speed (2014) by Ryan S — 07 May 2016
I never ever watched an episode of Breaking Bad, i'm totally forgetting that this is based on a top rated racing video game. I'm reviewing this in a different light. Aaron Paul was superb, he had me hooked as well as Scott Waugh the director who took on the task of creating an intense racing movie.
The one scene I love is the scene where Tobey ( Aaron Paul ) finds a way to keep the police officer at bay, a huge tribute to Smokey & The Bandit.. I think. Sadly this film never took off with Americans, but it definitely took China by storm, so much in fact that a sequel was swirling around.
Two hours was used up perfectly, no subplots, no lingering moments, just straight up Point A to Point B action packed racing entertainment. Action, Humor, and funny enough alot of burning rubber, that's just from the cars themselves.
I enjoyed it and I hope you did or will as well..
