This is the Scottish version of 'This is England' and, if anything, is much more brutal. It tells the story of a promising schoolboy who falls in with the wrong crowd and all the consequences of doing so, often in ivid and disturbing detail. Sometimes, due to the dialect, it can be hard to understand what is being said but in those instances the on-screen action is more than enough for a worthy translation.
