Review of Neds (2010) by Daniel P — 29 Sep 2012
Though the conclusion is rather heavy-handed, for the most part NEDS makes subtle, articulate points and Peter Mullan shows directorial flair in what is undoubtedly a personal film. Though it is rather downbeat, there's also a surprising amount of humour (albeit of the ironic, dark sort) and the characters avoid archetype and cliche.
