Review of Ned Kelly (2003) by Grant K — 09 Oct 2007
A great addition to the legend of Ned. Great casting with Heath playing Ned as the proud young Irish-Aussie larrikin he was. Great cinematography of the Victorian bush that had me missing home. Just had problems with the brush over the aboriginals got with the only image being the stereotypical tracker.
The line "this country belongs to us and we'll go wherever we like" I spose says it all in this regard. A hero to the poor Irish settlers but perhaps not the traditional owners.
