Classified: Very Fresh.

Defining Moment: Ned Kelly shooting a police officer making his future certain death.

Highs:

Acting is good, well told story with good mix of drama and action. Amazing scenery and perfect soundtrack.

Lows:

Can be considered too slow and often the accents of those involved do get a bit confused. I felt it ended too suddenly as well.

H&L Conclusion:

Ned Kelly would be Australia's most iconic hero and so I have a certain attachment to this film. I love the Australian bush and scenery and the storytelling is fantastic.

Heath Ledger as Ned Kelly is good casting as he brings the youth that Kelly had but also some sense of maturity. At times Ledger seems to be pushing his accent too much as is the same with others.

The ending was a little sudden, I would have loved to seen a bit more of the unfolding story, maybe a little bit of Courtroom drama. But still a great shoot-out and drama.

Star Rating: * * * * * * * * 8/10.
