Review of Necromentia (2009) by Kitty S — 17 Aug 2011
Necromentia was a brilliant movie. The storyline was phenomenal. The effects were breathtakingly realistic, and the acting and actors were just fantastic. The plot is very complicated, but once you understand it, it makes the movie even better.
Pearry Teo is a genius. I was inspired by it in so many ways; it's a work of art on every level.
Layton Matthews (who played Morbius) was amazing. He's been an incredible actor in all the roles he's done, but his acting in Necromentia was definately one of his greatest. He played his character perfectly and flawlessly; he was the perfect actor for the part, and he really inspired me with his fantastic acting.
I highly recommend Necromentia to any horror fan, just be careful if you're squeamish, because there are a lot of gory parts.
As I said, the movie is quite complex, so if you don't understand it, look it up and then try rewatching it again after. That's what I did, and I appreciated it so much more.
This is one of my favorite-and best-movies I've ever seen, and it just proves you don't need to have a huge budget to make an outsdanding creation.
