Very much a character piece, "Nebraska"'s use of black and white zones in on the raw emotions of this family road trip and focuses on the relationships each have with one another and the people around them.
There is humour and there is sadness, and this comes through in various shades of black and white. Bruce Dern and June Squibb are deserving of their nominations, but Will Forte should just as well have been recognized for his efforts.
