Review of Nebraska (2013) by David E — 02 Mar 2014
Nominated for 6 Oscars including Best Picture (didn't win any), "Nebraska" was a pretty good film with a simple, yet modest story of an elderly man journeying with his reluctant son to Nebraska to claim his $1,000,000 that he won, while along the way they encounter some people who want to take advantage of or neglect him or people who feel sympathy in one form or another.
June Squibb did a great job of being an overbearing elderly mother & wife. In general, the movie was pretty good, but it seemed a little lacking in story, like there could've been something more; plus, the pace was rather tedious.
