Review of Nebraska (2013) by Bret B — 04 Mar 2014
@Nebraska - Art Director not approved.
The film is about an aging man who goes on a road trip with his estranged son to claim a $1 million sweepstake prize.
Like the state itself, the film is forgettable with dialogue as flat as the landscape. The black and white treatment only compounds the bleakness of a senior moment. A sad reminder of the slow march of time towards frailty. A highlight in this snoozer is June Scuibb's ballsy performance. I may have enjoyed her more if I hadn't slept through parts of the film.
