Review of Nebraska (2013) by Richard B — 19 Mar 2014
I've really liked all of Alexander Payne's film and even though this one didn't look all too traditional, I figured it would be a solid film, which it definitely won. I was slightly surprised at how funny this film was, but I guess I have always loved Payne's humor.
All the performances are really good; Will Forte is great in a fairly dramatic role and Bruce Dern got a lot of credit for his role, but for me it was June Squibb who stole the show. She was hilarious and I laughed at almost everything she said.
Overall a very solid film, even though it is a little slow at times and also predictable too.
