Ahh, that's why I go to the movies. A simple road trip movie, with brilliant characters, smartly written and amazing cinematography. A slice of Americana with characters that would be recognized anywhere.
Did I mention it's in black & white? Films like these look so great in black & white, I'm not sure why more people don't do it. And I would've given the best actor Oscar to Dern.
He deserved it.
