I just didn't get this movie. It was slow and kind of boring, pointless even. I can't seem to figure why it needed to be shot in black and white either. Perhaps there is some meaning behind it which I'm not grasping.

I felt like the editing was poorly constructed with awkward camera fades from one scene to the next. The actors were terrible, outside of the primary cast, as if the crew asked their grandparents to read words off a page.

I guess I'm missing what's rewarding about this film experience and it appears I'm in the minority. I don't get anything out of movies like this. But hey, I didn't like Sideways or About Schmidt either so maybe Alexander Payne and I just don't get along.
