Review of Nebraska (2013) by Razi A — 09 Aug 2014
A beautiful and sharply funny film that is so simple, yet complex. Bittersweet with perfect scenery and dialogue to capture the Midwest, relatives, family, time, and small-town life. Excellent choice to film in black and white, as it brought out the landscapes Ansel Adams style and focused on the facial expressions of an old, declining man.
The man who we all wrote off like we do as a society. Who we learn more about over the journey and realize that all life is complex.
