Nebraska is not for everyone and unless you like your humor a bit on the dark side (though it must be stated this isn't really a flat out dark comedy) and a story driven entirely by character development you most likely won't enjoy Nebraska.

For those who do enjoy a slower paced film (and one filmed in black and white to boot) Nebraska is about as good as it gets. The subtle humor is hilarious and the performance from Bruce Dern is one of the best ever captured by camera.

Nebraska is a gem that needs to be seen by fans of film and would be one I would recommend to viewers who are looking to get past the Hollywood Blockbuster and see what masterful storytelling, acting and directing can do on a small budget.
