Review of Nebraska (2013) by Scott W — 24 Jan 2016
It took me a while to connect to this movie. It wasn't really until the last 30 minutes that I really felt invested. I think part of the issue is that the movie unfolds at a pretty slow pace so I found my attention wandering.
I did laugh a fair amount, and especially liked the scene where the brothers stole from the wrong house. I liked that Bob Odenkirk's character turned out differently from the stereotypical successful brother that I expected.
As far as Alexander Payne films go, I liked The Descendants and Sideways more, but this one isn't bad.
