Review of Nebraska (2013) by Nikolai D — 14 Dec 2014
This is a brilliant movie, a true masterpiece by Alexander Payne, who is one of the greatest film directors alive. It goes very deep into the heart of America to look at the psyche of ordinary people leading an ordinary life.
Some moments are extremely funny, others are touching, and even disturbing. Artists are rarely interested in old age, which is not a sexy and marketable topic. Alexander Payne tackles it with courage, honesty, talent and humour.
