Payne seems to enjoy making the same movie over and over, a group of people circling the missing element in the protagonist's life but finding meaningful connections along the way and a dash of hope, but they're such good showcases for his casts that I don't mind at all.
Heck, a sequel starring just Dern and Squibb wouldn't be bad, either.
