Review of Near Dark (1987) by Anita R — 17 Mar 2008
I would call it a rip-off of The Lost Boys, but it came out the same year and it's so much cooler, despite a shocking lack of Corey Feldman. A roving gang of vampires terrorize the country side with violence and mayhem.
I was really impressed by some very original scenes for a vampire movie like a shoot out with the police where their hide out slowly fills with sunlight as the walls are riddled with bullets. Action packed and very exciting right up to the explosive finale that will have you cheering the montra "Fuck Joel Schumaker!".
