A marvelous cult classic. A beautiful modern vampire film (even if the word vampire never is uttered!). These vampires was something not seen on film before and far away from the usual typical stereotypes.
Here's no garlic, crosses, bats, fangs or strange rituals. These vampires are a result of a strange and rare blood disease. They are ageless, drink blood and doesn't like the sun, and that's about it.
I also have to mention the wonderful music to Tangerine Dream in this film that is effective, beautiful and absolutely perfect. Jenny Wright is also breathtaking in her role as Mae. A great forgotten gem directed by one of the few successful female action directors in the business.
