Review of Near Dark (1987) by Phillip S — 01 Aug 2008
This movie deserves more credit than it actually got. It was released the same time as the Lost Boys but undeservedly Lost Boys got more of the acclaim. I like Lost Boys but I am bitter such a great film like Near Dark got lost in the shuffle.
Most of the main cast is from Aliens but it was a pretty realistic portrayal of a traveling group of vampires. Bill Paxton is just great as the over the top Severn and Lance Henriksen really is great as Jesse.
And this is when Adrian Pasdar actually got non asshole roles like Profit and Nathan Patrelli from heroes.
