Review of Near Dark (1987) by Erik R — 13 Jul 2009
This one may not be for everyone. I'm a huge fan of Aliens, so the fact that this has Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton, and Jenette Goldstein in it, definitely helped my opinion. I also recently realized that the main character is played by Adrian Pasdar of "Heroes" fame.
This movie takes it's time building up a mood and if you can let yourself fall into it, it's the best vampire movie without ever mentioning "vampire".
