Review of Near Dark (1987) by Naheed A — 12 Nov 2012
Hands down the best vampire movie ever produced in American cinema. A horror film that aptly uses the mythology of the vampire to explore themes of drug abuse, gang life, and the ease with which we fall into aberration without familial support.
A romantic film full of atmosphere with a delicious 80's ambient/electronic soundtrack courtesy of Tangerine Dream. Epic!
