Review of Navy Seals (1990) by James G — 22 Oct 2007
This gets an extra star for being unintentionally hilarious! It's certainly an entertaining watch, no wonder Charlie Sheen signed up for 'Hot Shots' the year after making this. If the film makers were aiming for a sexy, overly-macho, 'Top Gun' style affair, they missed the aircraft carrier by several nautical miles.
Jo Whalley and Michael Biehn take the material faaar to seriously, Charlie Sheen is practically winking at the camera knowingly most of the time he's on screen. In fact I'm also going to give this movie an extra half-point for the wardrobe department finding the worst hawaiian shirts ever seen in a movie :).
