Review of Natural Selection (2011) by Alan W — 15 Oct 2011
Keeps its main character very carefully balanced, aided in no small part to a lovely performance by Harris - she's kooky without being a kook, and extremely sincere without coming across as dumb. The rest of the film around her isn't quite as sharply conceived, but is still largely successful.
One odd problem, although this could just be my own pet peeve: it suffers from occasionally poor soundtrack/scoring choices that sound too much like an "indie film" decision rather than anything that fits in these characters' lives.
