Review of Natural Born Killers (1994) by Brandon W — 04 Oct 2010
It is not difficult for a film buff, judging a film as excessive as NBK ... What else can remember the bald head of Harrelson, if not the cannibals of Wes Craven, or the sit com, Clockwork Orange ... without considering that the film moves into a hyper-realism influenced by Wild at Heart, the precipitate Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead, and obscenity and overflowing trash by John Waters ...
That said, the logic of the Hollywood director who plays the experimental (with tiresome, messy and ridiculous payoff in the long run), is like: hey, the media are wrong, not me, I'm just an artist and I can do whatever I want; with the result that no evil here is a complaint, but it is also amplified, especially for the average person, who ignores the misdeeds of the corporate media.
