Review of Natural Born Killers (1994) by Vincent D — 04 Aug 2011
I didn't really get this movie. It doesn't really know what it wants to be. The movie starts out as like a crazy sitcom show with Rodney dangerfield. Rodneys plays an abusive dad and tries to screw his daughter or basically tell he does, then the movie changes from there a bit.
It's odd, there's tons of jump cuts to different things images that pop up that don't make much sense. Idk really how to classify this movie. When I watch a movie I want a story to be told.
When woody and Lewis get togeather their great but it doesn't help with the jump cuts weird images on screen, and crazy animation that doesn't make sence until the end of the movie. Supposedly its a satire about how the media and people react to killers/ serial murderers but I don't see that.
I see a movie that had no objective. I see a movie that didn't have much to do with the anything. Idk some people like this movie but I dont. I don't see what everone else sees. I see an unfinished movie with weired jump cuts and strange sound with bad volume control.
I see good preformances especially Robert downey Jr but that's all. My last thoughts would be that everyone should see it to know what it about because its hard to explain.
