Review of Natural Born Killers (1994) by Brad S — 13 Apr 2013

A hardcore satire on a sensationalist media, Oliver Stone's classic will shock and unsettle, leaving you in a state of awe at what we have become. Natural Born Killers addresses the moral decay of the media and society as a whole in a way rarely seen on the silver screen.

The sheer brutality of this film may be off-putting to most, as it is among the most violent films I have ever seen in my life. It is also highly stylized, but not in a way as to glorify the violence.

Conversely, the style makes it even more uncomfortable to watch, and that's to Stone's credit. Any film that can get such a visceral reaction out of its audience is doing something right. ~ B+.
