Review of Natural Born Killers (1994) by Phillip B — 22 Sep 2013
I liked it, but there is something keeping me from loving it as much as I could and to be honest I'm not sure what it is. Harrelson is fantastic, and this is probably my favorite RDJ performance. I'm all for 'over-the-top violence and bitter cultural satire.
' The bit where they flash back to Mallory's home life with Rodney Dangerfield as the abusive father, all done in a 'I Love Lucy' spoof, was a highlight for me. The film is -sort of- brilliant and poetic, just not as much as it thinks it is.
