Review of Natural Born Killers (1994) by David F — 27 Feb 2014

Stone manages to make a grotesque, ugly and over the top film about two twisted serial killer love birds on a cross country killing spree. And really, I like it. It's a very ugly movie, but it's nice to see a change from the sugar coating of Hollywood and see something really step out, even when some parts are laughably over the top.

Strange direction from Stone that is very unique and beautifully surreal, and great acting from our lead Woody Harrelson who surprisingly makes the serial killing Mickey someone very interesting to watch and know more about.

I cannot say the same for Lewis (It's a headache). Altogether a visually mortifying film that deserves more than it's given due to it's grizzly tone.
