Oliver Stone's NBK is one of the most raw, spontaneous and entertaining film-going experience I've ever had. Action, satire, black comedy, romance and social commentary are the elements Stone uses to bring this story to life.

Quentin Tarantino's original script was chopped up by Stone and co., but Tarantino's influence is noticeable throughout, and this would be an ideal companion piece to both True Romance and/or Pulp Fiction.

The entire cast goes over-the-top, and it works brilliantly in the context of the film. Above all the sociopathic behavior and eerily accurate portrayal of the general publics fascination with it, this is a love story about two soul mates who go on to live beneath the grid.

I've seen this movie dozens if times, and it works year after year. The editing is phenomenal, with nearly 4000 images projected in just under two hours. Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis are magnetic as Mickey and Malory, with Tommy lee Jones, Tom Sizemore, Robert Downey Junior and Rodney Dangerfield turning in fine support.
