Review of National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007) by Kyle B — 03 Jan 2012
Normally in today's adventure films, the sillier the plot, the more enjoyable the story is. That should have been the case for this at any rate, but it simply wasn't. The plot, riddled with inaccuracies and inconsistencies which were nonetheless kept somewhat alive by its cast, was sidelined by a basically inferior sense of time and space.
In other words, the way the plot was handled was horrendous, and indeed much inferior to its predecessor. With more computer graphics and impossible stunts, I really felt this to be more concerned about the action rather than the adventure, and it was in actuality, though barely floating thanks to a few scenes.
Overall, I was mixed on this, and definitely consider its predecessor as having been much more enjoyable than this.
