Review of National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007) by Kevin L — 19 Sep 2012
Disney has went and done it again. They've created an average movie for the average family. This sequel to "National Treasure" is anything but different. The predictable plot is essentially the same as the first, just at a different time in a separate location.
Once again, Benjamin Franklin Gates, played by the always robotic Nicolas Cage, is sent on a wild goose chase around the world to help clear his family's name. With the help of his parents, best friend Riley Poole, and his former girlfriend, he's able to find the treasure.
Including Justin Bartha, Diane Kruger, and Jon Voight in the supporting cast, there's few outstanding performances. Jon Turtletaub did an okay job with this sequel.
