Review of National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007) by Grant T — 26 Jun 2013
Same as the first, leaves more questions than answers. National Treasure: Book of Secrets when you think about it, is a really unneeded sequel; sure the previous film kind of hinted at it, but this was kind of trying to hard to try to fit in.
The film itself has a fairly well done story, even though again it causes a lot of problems and contains numerous flaws; the acting is much more campy this time around at times, but I'd say manages to work fine; the writing and direction was to be expected as a generic action film so it passes.
With that in mind, Book of Secrets is fairly done, but really feels no need to exist in any way. Still, I think if you want some action and suspense in a fairly well done treasure hunting film, National Treasure: Book of Secrets has the ability to satisfy that need.
