Review of National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007) by Stuart M — 27 Aug 2011
Really poor in terms of plot, action and comedy. It jumps to quickly into finding a new treasure trail, and follows the conventional ideas of a sequel which is lacking in ideas yet wants to continue a franchise.
The first film was better in that it introduced Nicholas Cage's character as a man who was hellbent on discovery, uncovering clues and treasure - this film doesn't work as this notion has already been explored. It's unfunny in all the wrong places, and it's a tiring trudge to endure.
