It's not that National Treasure is awful but it isn't good also, it has a lot of cliches but is so entertaining to see Nicolas Cage and Sean Bean do things that even when they're in a long exposition scene you're still entertained.
I don't recommend it unless you don't have anything to watch or you're stuck in an airplane or something, otherwise, you can pass over it.
