Review of National Lampoon's Vacation (1983) by Southern D — 26 Nov 2009
Hilarious. Its a little dated but it still makes me laugh. Absolute classic comedy bits include the dead grandmother on the roof of the car. And the tying the dog to the bumper of the car. Not to mention cousin Eddie.
This is one of the rare cases where hiring Chevy Chase was a brilliant move. Nobody was better at this role than he is. I love the old Odyssey videogame system early on. "Russ, please don't eat the family truckster".
