A buddy cop parody of the lowest possible caliber, "National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1" empties its chamber but only nicks its enormously deserving target. It's a fusillade of tired jokes and cheap shots, primarily meant as a burlesque of "Lethal Weapon," but "Basic Instinct," "The Silence of the Lambs" and "48 Hrs." also come in for some lame bashing from director Gene Quintano. Anyone under the impression that Airplane! and the Naked Gun films are nothing more than jam-packed collections of bad puns, schlock-celebrity cameos, and shamelessly vulgar slapstick should take a look at National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1. "Loaded" falls flat on its face early on and lies there for 100-odd minutes. Weakly scripted, lacklusterly acted tale of a bunch of young, disillusioned Brits flounders around as much as its characters. Commercial chances look grim. Basically, this film is stale -- as unappetizing as week-old bread. Quintano, a graduate of "Police Academy 3 and 4," is clearly a case of arrested development. There ought to be a law against making movies if you're a vulgar and sophomoric jerk. Of course, that'd mean there wouldn't be so many movies. Hey, that might not be such a bad thing.

VERDICT: "Hit The Exits" - [Panned Reaction] These are some of the worst films ever made. These films do everything wrong and do it worse than bad. Audiences should never see this film under any circumstances! (Films that are rated 0.5 or 1 stars).
