Review of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989) by Sam S — 30 Nov 2010
So many fond memories rest with this movie. It's a very harmless comedy that continues the misadventures of the Super-Dad, Clark Griswold. What I like about the Vacation movies is that they all leave you witha similar message(The importance of family), but how you get there is always different.
Chevy Chase is at the top of his game in this series closely rivaling "Fletch", while he is extremely dumb and gullible, his heart is always in the right place and almost anyone cans see a little bit of their own dad in Clark Griswold.
It perfectly captures the stress and pressures of a big family Christmas, and how just about anything that could go wrong does.
