Rewatched it after many years, the jokes don't work for me most of the time (very slapstick heavy) but still love the squirrel scene. can't tell if I got soft or something but chevy chase comes across as very passive aggressive.

Here's something I never got, why does he have problems talking to a hot sales woman, when his wife (beverly d'angelo) is hot as well? and she's not portrayed as a closeted-hot-girl-mormon she's well aware of it with her boob-window-blouse on christmas eve!
