Review of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989) by Evan W — 10 Dec 2014

"Later Dudes!" Quite easily my favorite Vacation movie out of the rest (besides maybe the first one). It was certainly the most "wonderful" part of the year for the Griswolds. The whole comedy calamity never changes for them in this film.

This after that, and yet at the end of it all, they still managed feel the true meaning of the season. Funniest parts to me include the super-slick sled scene, when Clark goes crazy over the plugs to the Christmas lights, and of course the scene when he goes berserk and there after.

Overall, countless funny parts, including ones involving cousin Eddie ("S**ter was full!"). Chevy Chase as usual thrills the audience with his character's witty and stubborn personality.

It's also fun to see young Johnny Galeki (Leonard Hofstadter from "Big Bang Theory"). A great holiday classic to enjoy every year.
