Review of Nashville (1975) by Mark D — 27 Feb 2010
An intersting film littered with irony. It was in all fairness a real slog to watch and the country music was tiresome as I am not a fan. However all of it had its meaning and it is Altman's cynical view of the world in which I enjoyed more than the plot itself.
The cast is extensive, but all deliver good performances. I would recommend but only to those who dont mind a near 3 hour opus and are willing to look for a deeper meaning rather than the literal.
