Review of Narc (2002) by Jon R — 01 Feb 2009
It's a film that remains truly riveting throughout. Great performances from Liotta and Patric boost this film to five stars, but the other four are for Carnahan's writing and directing, and Nepomniaschy's brilliant cinematography.
The long, handheld shots pull the viewer into every chase, as if we are along for a heart pounding ride. The gritty blue and warm orange colors bring a gritty atmosphere, all brought together by excellent high contrast flashbacks.
There is so much to write about - this film is that good.
